Pinstriped uniforms were experimented with in the late 1880s, but it was not until the 1907 Boston Doves (named for team owner George Dovey) reintroduced the pattern on their road uniforms that the style took hold. In every season since that time, at least one big league club has worn a pinstriped uniform. |
