1906 |
The 1906 New York Giants donned uniforms boasting of their previous season’s World Series victory. Emblazoned with the words “World’s Champions” across the shirt front, the brash uniform was also the first to feature a collarless jersey. By 1914, full-collared jerseys would disappear from the big leagues altogether, though the White Sox briefly revived the style during the 1970s and ‘80s. |
