joined the 3,000-Hit Club with a single on September 30, 1992, the 20th
anniversary of Roberto Clemente's 3,000th and final big league hit. Brett's big hit came
in the seventh inning of a stellar 4-for-5 game in Anaheim. George Brett, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron are three of the four players in major league baseball history to have collected at least 3,000 hits, 300 home runs, and 200 stolen bases. The other big leaguer to reach such lofty numbers was the next member of the 3,000-Hit Club: Dave Winfield.
