Well, Minnie Miñoso, Orestes Miñoso was the Jackie Robinson for all Latinos, because he was the first one to become established as a star in the Major Leagues. He was the first Latino to play in the All Star Game. He was the first Latino to make it big time. And I remember when I met him in the year '56. But it was in '57 that we got to know each other and became friends. Minnie Miñoso was a Latino ballplayer, the first star, the one who opened the doors for all Latin American ballplayers. Felipe Alou loves Minnie Miñoso, Roberto Clemente loved him and all of us Latino ballplayers who came later loved Minnie Miñoso a lot. He was the one who opened the doors for all of us.
