I think if you look at the Major League level today, you will see how the Latin player has really dominated baseball right now. It used to be the African-American player. Now you have a much higher percentage of Latin players that are excelling and doing so well.
I think we have become such a mainstay in Major League baseball. We've gotten so much from Major League baseball. Now we have five Latin players that are in the Hall of Fame and I'm sure in your future there are going to be some more. But it also gives to young kids that are chasing their dream confidence that maybe one day they'll be stepping into our shoes and continuing that tradition to keep making the Latin player be known world wide. So, I think it's great that Major League baseball is doing this. It's good for baseball, you know, for everyone that's involved.
I want Latinos to know that we are not only representing ourselves but also all Latin American countries and we want to be proud. And I am very proud of being Latino because when I began playing ball and came to this country - I came into this country representing my country, not just my family.
